Professor Cade Kauffman

Professor Cade Kauffman is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Master Carlos Machado. He started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2008 under Master Machado’s black belt Professor Klay Pittman while studying at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Upon graduation, Professor Kauffman attended law school at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. During his time in Oklahoma, Professor Kauffman continued his study of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and began to incorporate wrestling into his training under ADCC competitors.

Professor Kauffman returned to his hometown of Midland, Texas in 2013, and remained diligent in his study of BJJ and no-gi grappling under an IBJJF world champion until relocating to Dallas in 2015. Once in Dallas, Professor Kauffman immediately knew he wanted to continue his study under Master Machado, earning his black belt in 2019. 

Professor Kauffman enjoys teaching and training in gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while incorporating wrestling skills to supplement his students’ techniques. Further, Professor Kauffman is the head coach of the wrestling/takedown class, which is a class dedicated to learning and training how to get the opponent to the ground in a safe and effective manner. Having competed throughout his journey studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Kauffman believes that it is important to understand and study all aspects of grappling to ensure your success in any situation requiring you to use your skill.
